      • Jake bonds with another mute boy. He is the brother of the young man who lost the handgun.
      • Martin talks with Elliot to find out where his parents are. Elliot doesn't want to be in a group home or have Andre sent away to a state run facility, so he takes care of his brother.

      • Martin meets with his sister-in-law. She has filed a petition to be Jake's legal guardian.
      • When Martin goes in search of Professor Logan Cottweiler, he finds him unconscious. Martin calls the last number on Logan's phone and finds out that Logan is diabetic and where he leaves his medication.
